LIMOGES

Kaolin, the fine white clay for porcelain, was discovered near Limoges in 1768. This discovery opened a new chapter for Limoges, a city 200 miles south of Paris, with its world-famous porcelain business prospering ever since. Renoir the impressionist painter was born there in 1841.

This Limoges bowl was bought in Vancouver, BC.
